Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween Everyone! Here in Trilogy it will be very quiet - no little ghosts or goblins or trick or treaters. We haven't even bought one bag of Halloween candy. Today, during the day, there's a Halloween party for the little kids of Trilogy residents, but past that, nothing. There are very few Halloween decorations on porches or front yards. It's all part of the adult community culture... no kids running about....besides, do you really want children running around in the streets when the only drivers are old folks????Quite a few people, including Jim and me, have fall decorations - pumpkins, scarecrows, etc., but no jack-o-lanterns.

Chilly weather has arrived in Rio Vista. It got all the way up to 70 degrees yesterday, and I don't think it made it that high today. The cats have suddenly become a lot friendlier, very cuddly. Although there's not a cloud in the sky, the weather report promises rain. A good vigourous rain would be welcome - it would clean off all the construction dirt and settle the dust.

Yesterday I had a full on asthma attack and spent most of the day connected to my oxygen tank and clutching my inhaler. It was severe enough to put me back on the steriod inhaler (which I hate using). Today I feel a lot better, and if we would just get a good downpouring rain, the air would be a lot cleaner and less troublesome.

We had a cat door installed in the laundry room door that leads to the garage. Now all we have to do is convince the cats to use it. Easier said than done.

We put some tuna on a plate in the garage early in the morning when we knew they'd both be starving. Annabelle, who is hungry all the time, figured out how to work the door right away and went zipping out. Bustopher (aka "skitty-kitty), didn't like the idea of the flap dragging across his head, so he was a lot more cautious. He knows how to use it - he just isn't sure he's going to like it....well all the food and potty box are now in the garage, so it's sort it out or starve. :>)

Tonight we're going to Marc and Anita's house to see their 4 kids all dressed in their costumes. I'll take pictures and post them here.

Have a good Halloween all.... and boo to you too!

Love to all,
Corrie and Jim
