It's been such a long time since I posted here...eight months to be exact. A lot's happened. For starters, we had spring and summer. And a brand new grandson - Dexter, born May 1.
Jim and I went to New Hampshire and Washington DC in September. What we found is Washington DC is built on a hill, and that to get to anything one has to climb hundreds of stairs - both ways. It was a thrill to see the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution in their original form. We had such a great time.
The visit with Jessica and David was extra special. We celebrated my 69th birthday at Strathbourne farms. It was a very neat day. The kids are at a terrific age - old enough to handle their own personal needs and young enough to still think their parents are wonderful.
We learned about Kathy's cancer in October and now all the attention is going to getting her the treatment she needs to get better. This will be ongoing until she's well.
Todate all we know is that she has a malignant tumor in her lower colon. She has seen a colorectal surgeon and the next step is an endoscopic ultrasound to determine the exact size and location. Next will be the meeting with the oncologist to schedule treatment. The surgeon believes that chemotherapy and radiation will shrink the tumor and that may be enough to get rid of it all together. If not, then surgery will be the next step.
That's it for now. I'm not going to post pictures today, but will in a new post.

Four Years!
I can't believe it's been four years since Jim and I met. Tomorrow we are off to Arby's. I'll pack the camera and take some pictures. Every year we'll do this until we're too old to do it anymore.
It's been almost a year since I put anything on our blog. It was actually last spring! We've had a full year - most of it devoted to working with Kathy, but we had some other things as well.
I went to New Hampshire alone in September. Jim stayed home alone, but thanks to LeRoy and Rose and family members, he didn't starve or get too lonely. We went to Hawaii. It was my first time, but the umpteenth time for Jim. I was ill the entire time, so it wasn't quite as much fun as we had hoped it would be, but we had a good time.
I took golf lessons and have actually played a few times. Not lately, however - my golf buddy has been ill.
We added two GREAT grandchildren - Hailey, born in August and Ashlynn born in November. We will have a new granchild due in May - Dexter. We're still getting accustomed to the name.
That's a brief update. More later after I get accustomed to the idea of posting here again.
Love to all,
Jim and Corrie
